The app is light but burns our time. Price is not much competitive. Latest versions of MS office like Office 2007 is not supported.
File recovery is a tool that we computer geeks cant avoid... Some times it is a big bless to have a recovery tool for specific file types, where general recovery software fails due to lack of in-depth coverage. This 'DOC Regenerator' is one among them, which is developed to recover Microsoft office document files. DOC Regenerator is a light piece of application that doesn't need much mental strain, physical effort and technical knowledge to run. But once we trigger the recovery scan, then in between, you may feel something strange with your screen ;-). It will take some time to scan all over your disk.
Though the GUI is not that good, the steps we need to follow are made in a simple manner. It works with corrupted files and also password protected ones.
Any way this works well with Microsoft Windows XP machines. I haven't tried in other Operating systems. DOC Regenerator doesn't works fine with Microsoft office 2007 files. Hope they will release a new build sooner including that support.
The price seems a bit high for me. It looks over pried for the functionality found in DOC Regenerator.
You may purchase this if your files are worth than the software price or if you think that you may have to use this multiple times through out your future...
