Governor of Poker by Youda Games
You can buy it at RegNow for that price.
No "end" to the game: you can always continue playing, even if you lose everything, provided you don't bet all your houses. Easy to pick up on- even if you haven't played poker before, you can play
The game is rather one dimensional. You play poker.... and play more poker. Other than the houses, there isn't any other way to earn money. The game also is not free past the first town, which I found somewhat depressing.
Governor of Poker is a game that seems to be geared toward two types of players- those who really love the ability to manipulate the coding of an AI or die-hard poker fans. Particularly early in the game, in the first town, manipulating what the AI does is very simple. Bluffing all in on a $100 dollar poker game in the first hand if you have an okay hand is somewhat risky... but on the first town, you can definitely pull it off just to get the blind money. As you progress in the game, you can buy houses, which give you money every day, and you can play in cash games, where your money (or house keys) are your only limits. The houses allow for you to always have a way to continue playing the game, so you can't get stuck with ten bucks and no way to get into a tournament, and the cash games make playing the game much more interesting, because you're playing with your actual dollars, as opposed to a hypothetical amount where being the last man standing will get you the prize money. Also, at the end of each town is a "boss" player, who has a means of transportation for you to get to another town. In order to go past the first town, you must buy the full version of the game, but even just playing the demo is a nice way to pass time.
The game could definitely have been better, however, for what it is labeled and marketed as- a poker game- it does rather well.
