File Monkey is a software program that helps the user organize his or her directories in a more automated fashion, thus saving the user a considerable amount time. That is if the program didn't lag after a few clicks in the program window. If one tries to select more than one file within File Monkey the program ceases to respond for a few seconds, then it registers what the user wished to select. Now the program has never crashed but this little annoyance will get old. Speaking in terms of age the program looks like a senior itself. The program looks old and combined with the lag it fells unstable. Despite these flaws the program is useful. It will find previously deleted files on your hard drive and wipe them permanently, File Monkey can extract emails from files, and it can recognize some command line scripts as well. All the features work in the program but you have to view the tutorials on their site to use them effectively. Using even the search function will take some brain cells to find what you are looking for. It is not one-hundred percent user friendly. However it does get job done and at the end of the day that's all that truly matters. Its up to the user to weigh out the pros and cons. There is a free version of the software for potential buyers so those who are interested are free to play.
