Review:

When I first saw screenshots of Brave Dwarves II, it looked like a fairly promising game; it looked like it would be a nice, interesting little RPG/Adventure game to spend a Sunday morning with. Also, considering the price was around 18 bucks, I assumed that it had to be a quality game. I went ahead and downloaded a free trial, expecting a quick joyride through a fictional universe.

Upon beginning actual gameplay, my hopes began to rapidly go down the drain. The general animations and overall graphics seemed both cheesy and cheaply made, as if some seventeen year old looking for a quick buck had put it together in an hour. The actual character that the player plays as moved painfully slow, which made the overall flow of the game extremely choppy and boring. All of this being said, the most irritating part of Brave Dwarves II was, in my opinion, those animated arrows that litter the screen as you move around in the environment. It's like the game is trying to push you along. "Yes, I know you're bored, just go this way and pretend you're having fun!" is the message that those arrows seem to be trying to convey. Just looking at them would make me incredibly angry.

Killing enemies was nowhere close to as satisfying as it should have been. Not only did the enemies look completely unintimidating, but upon killing them, the animation in which they died was utterly annoying. They would disappear in a cloud of smoke, as small white numbers would billow out of the area in which they died. This also looked and felt cheap, and there was nothing worse than seeing numbers pop up confusingly all over the screen.

This is far as I'm going to go with the specifics of this game. In my opinion, the main goal of a game should be to satisfy it's player, to immerse them in an incredible environment and interesting gameplay. Brace Dwarves II does just the opposite of that; it make the player angry and irritated. This game should be avoided at all costs. It is not worth the money or time of the player.

Conclusion:

Brave Dwarves II, quite frankly, is boring, cheaply made, irritating, and should be avoided at all costs.
