Smarty Uninstaller Review
Huh?
You can buy it at RegNow for that price.
None.
Doesn't do much for the price.
The irony in using this software utility is that it leaves its own trace behind!
I fail to see the intended audience/target market for this software. Computer end-users are hardly ever concerned what an install or an un-install of a software really entails in the back end. The only thing that the end-users would ever notice is the appearance of shortcuts on the desktop & the start menu after the install; and possibly non-functional shortcuts after the un-install. Dead shortcuts can be simply deleted by dragging them to the trash bin. Most of the end-users are not aware of the existance of registry values and hence they would not care enough for a software that promises to cleanup stuff that hardly matters.
Advance computer professionals know how to deal with uninstalls right from the command line and have better scripting capabilites to handle broken registry entries. This rules out this group of people from the target audience.
This leaves behind only a select group of intermediate computer users who would like to keep their computer clean but but are so lazy that they would want a software to do it for them.
Similar software has been around for a while. What does this software bring to the table other than a brighter UI?
Just another something.
