Alien Shooter Review
All Aliens Must Die
You can buy it at RegNow for that price.
Very addictive, mean and aggresive. Perfect "male" game. Also, since it's an indie game, most hard-core gamers never heard of it, so there is a very proud sense of discovery.
Severe playtime limitations in the demo verion. You just get going and bam, you are out of time.
I know of no other shareware shooter (other than the original Doom) that is as fun as Alien Shooter. Here is what you have to be prepared for – long miles of lab hallways, ten kinds of different monsters, ocean of mean alien creatures and one guy (or gal) that has to kill them all.
Sounds like a lot of fun, doesn’t it?
Some items you can pick up in the various lab rooms, others you have to buy (money is hard to come by in Alien Shooter). While monsters aren’t too tough in the beginning (you can easily kill them with two pistols), pretty soon you’ll be thankful that Alien Shooter developers where very generous with health power ups.
If you played Crimsonland, you are likely to enjoy Alien Shooter, because it’s basically the same concept, placed into a more elaborate environment, with more cool weapons and a shop, where you can purchase plenty of nifty (and life saving) items like armor. I guess, one could call Alien Shooter primitive in the best sense of this word. At least I enjoyed primitive Crimsonland more than more elaborate 3D shooters with multimillion budgets.
While Alien Shooter is also a 2D game, the graphics perfectly fits the game and the music is on cue as well. More importantly, the game has very authentic feeling to it and no extraneous or distracting elements.
The game totally sucks you in. If you enjoy the game, here is my advice – be very wise with the money. You’ll only have barely enough to buy the next big gun, so don’t squander it away.
As simple as it is, Alien Shooter is incredibly intense and impactful. There is enough punch in the game to keep you playing for days and weeks.
