I've been using this tool this past two years, and I can't find anything better than Registry Mechanic. I got it when my box kept on throwing registry errors. Scanning it helped and fixed many other annoying problems as well, such as broken links in Add/Remove Programs and some leftovers from pop up messages. Fast, Clean, Reliable, and at least for me, extremely Safe.

A few very useful features that you can use beyond cleaning your registry. You can safely backup you PC's registry, create Restore Points (Similar to what Windows XP does with its "System Restore"), and also Optimization of your registry's functions.

Conclusion:

In my personal scale, I’m giving Registry Mechanic 9 out of 10. Only 9, because like I said It's "NOT FREE". Although, tool as good can't be free, can it?
