Review:

Well, what can I say? This is a great tycoon game for its size and cost. It kept me busy four hours which is great since I had nothing to do. The game is small in size but offers a variety of options and great graphics. So, whether you want to build a colony on the moon and see it through its destruction or just enjoy the views, this is the game for you.

First, the whole games interface is very simple and easy to use, its laid out easily, and even I didn’t get lost in the first 5 minutes like I do with many games, which have 100’s of options for you to click on and read and get bored, no, this game is great, just click “play” change a couple of settings to your preferences, terrain height, starting money etc and then you off.

If you don’t often play city building games I recommend playing the tutorial first, it explains all off the interface in the game, all the controls and most importantly how to get your colony up and running, and even more importantly you don’t have to spend hours doing what it says, if you don’t want to “move your mouse to the end off the screen” you don’t have to, like most games tell you to do, if you didn’t know how to move the mouse you wouldn’t have a computer, let alone be playing the game. Anyway, so you can easily skip all of the advice you get by clicking on the picture of Brad McGann, the tutorial helper.

So, moving on, if you can already play the game and you know how to start your colony you will notice that it is just like most other city building games, in the fact that you first must build a control center, usually a Castle or a Town Hall, then you need somewhere for your citizens to live. And then you need jobs for them as well as getting a steady income of recourses and money.

The thing that makes me want to play moon tycoon the most is that it’s fairly unique. It’s set on a moon or asteroid if you have the full game, and you need to get very simple resources like oxygen and water. Also all the buildings need to be connected to each other which is a unique style, as if they weren’t connected you civilians would have to cross the dangerous atmosphere in an expensive suit, and if they died, well, ill let you think of the insurance cost….. So the game play is very closely related to the genre.

Conclusion:

Overall I would definitely buy this game. It keeps me busy as I have already told you countless times. And I think its great value for what you get, however, I will let you decide that for yourself.
