AudioStreamer Review

I am always on the look out for new music, and this program makes that search just a little easier. AudioStreamer is an internet radio receiver that alows you not only to picks from a wide variety of radio stations in every imaginable genre, but to record the songs as well.

The interface is easy to use. Just open up the program and already a slew of stations are displayed. Then just tweek the search options to find a station that matches your taste and listen away. I have a cable internet connection, so most stations connected immediately, but a few were slow and some refused to connect. Other stations would fade in and out or clip.

When the connection failed I was forced to manually disconnect by using the escape button, but this was not a major problem. As soon as I found a few stations that had solid connections and music that I liked, I was set.

The best feature is that this program allows you to record, so if you find a station that plays music you enjoy, just hit the record button and listen along or let it record silently in your task bar. The program also chops up the music into individual songs and tags it for your convenience. That way if you like a song, you know what it is and the artist.

The only thing that was slightly frustrating was if I turned the radio on in the middle of a good song, I could only record from that point on. All in all though this is an amazing piece of software. It is easy to use, requiring no help and it is set up for user convenience. It is easy to find a station you like and perfect for anyone looking to find some new music.
