PicaJet FX Review
PicaJet FX... blasting off into... image space?
You can buy it at RegNow for that price.
lots of features, easy to use, pretty interface
too bad it can only organize pictures...
Let me start by saying that PicaJet FX is probably the easiest photo organizer to use - all you have to do is select the folders that you wish to scan and the images will appear in your collection.
The first thing that I was impressed by is that there are so many ways to organize your pictures - and one of the most interesting ways to organize them is by rating. You get to assign every single picture a rating from 0 Stars to 5 Stars, according to which ones you most like, or which ones best suit your needs, for a project for example. This way, you've always got the right pictures straight in front of you - and it's a very handy feature to have. However, sometimes when I try to adjust the stars, the slider gets stuck, meaning the stars number won't move.
The next thing that you'll probably like is that there are a couple of skins that make the user interface adorable. It's very pleasant to work with.
Amongst the many handy features that PicaJet offers you've got: tagging pictures, rating them, modifying them, burning them, viewing them as a slide show, etc. The list is long...
The good thing is that besides it being a picture organizer, it also allows you to perform basic image editing such as adjusting the contrast, brightness, sharpness, hue.
PicaJet FX is a great program if you've got loads of photos and your machine is a messy photo-house. If you're an average computer user and can do with Windows Explorer you might find the program useless.
