Review:

Bugatron attempts to get in the league of classic space shooter games like Galaga and the venerable Galaxians, but in the end it fails miserably the game has decent graphics however it is unable to capture the frenzy of this genre of games which games like "chicken invaders" have duplicated in the past.

The control interface leaves much to be desired the player's ship feels as if it is of the 60's vintage with a brand new paint-job, enemy agility is totally in a different league they literally have the ability to fly circles around you.

Additionally for some reason the developers have found it fit to have a limited 'X' axis control, the ship doesn't move up and down instead does a jump and post landing bounces on the bottom of the screen a couple of times. The developers have also seen it fit not to allow the player the liberty to configure controls (could be an issue for left handed players) sheer blasphemy in this day and age.

Playing the game with the default cannon is a trying experience and limited powerups (maybe due to the fact it was a trial version) mean this is what you do most of the time. Couple of interesting powerups like the effect of winds on the bullets and tilted fire trajectory add to the novelty of the game but in the end it seems to be too little too late.

Conclusion:

Bugatron is a good idea gone bad the game needs some serious improvements like the addition of a configurable control interface and X axis controls.
