Spyware Doctor is good at what it does, and that’s remove spyware adware and more. You can't fault it on that! But what you can fault it on is something that will annoy most PC users especially those less tech savvy people, and that’s its speed and price tag.
First the speed issue, on low end systems that you would find in most peoples homes there in for a long wait as the Doctor uses pretty much all available resources to scan, what this means is your left with nothing to do but wait and if your like me waiting is not an option, I like things done and done now.
The next issue is price $26.95, ok this is a reasonable price but not for a program which does exactly what other free programs do and better, take for instance Spy-Bot Search & Destroy or Ad-Aware, these are both free or have a pay versions but work a lot better and don’t leave you with a paper weight for 10mins while they scan.
Spyware Doctor is an effective piece of software and does its job and does it pretty well, but the draw backs with the memory usage and price would turn most consumers away.
