Review:

Let's face it, there are some applications that would serve their users infinitely better if they were just part of a bigger application.
Say The Time 2006 is this potentially useful little tool that just falls short of being convenient. It does what many of us disorganized people need: it reminds us of those important things that we need to accomplish during the day. You can set alerts and even launch applications, which is pretty great especially if you are one of those people who check their email before you brush your teeth in the morning, like me.

The thing that makes this application feel small or inadequate is that one has to manually add all of the reminders. So, if I am utilizing my calendar in Outlook or Palm Desktop, I have to move my events and scheduled events over to Say The Time 2006. This is a redundant, tedious task that I just do not want to do on a daily basis.

The bottom line is, if you simply need an application where you can plaster your desktop with sticky notes and issue scheduled reminders, then Say The Time 2006 may serve you well. It is very easy to use and reliable. But if you are busy and do not want to spend a lot of time cutting and pasting the tasks that you have already entered from your main scheduling application to another, then you may feel that this application falls short of what you need.

Conclusion:

If I simply used a paper-based scheduling system and wanted a way to remind myself of events, meetings, etc, I would buy this application. But since I have already typed my schedule into another application, I do not want to do it again.
