There are numerous other programs to create CD labels, but is the Acoustica CD/DVD Label Maker the one to pick?
First of all, let’s look at the different functions this program has to offer. You can create labels for the CD and for the front, back and inside of the case. It also has a ‘bonus sticker’ feature, where you can create extra stickers on the CD label paper. It’s a nice extra and allows you to save some paper.
When you’re going to create a new label, you have to start by selecting a layout. There are 17 layouts to choose from, and you modify them with the click of a button.
After you’ve chosen a layout, you can also add a background. You can either pick one of the pre-installed backgrounds, or you can select one of your own pictures. There’s even a clipart search function that allows you to scan your computer for a specific keyword.
When you’re happy with the design of the label, you can export it. There are 3 image files to choose from: JPEG, PNG and BMP. If necessary, you can also adjust the resolution of the image.
So, we can conclude that this software probably has al the functions you'll ever need to create a nice label. However, there are probably cheaper alternatives out there.
