BrickShooter Review
Addicting & Frustrating
You can buy it at RegNow for that price.
I was hooked, trying to get to Level 2. The challenge is in the strategy.
Wasn't easy to figure out what the strategy for eliminating bricks was, so it wouldn't appeal to those wanting success easily.
I would love to be able to say I got past Level 1 but I did not. I would also like to say I didn't spend almost all day trying to get past Level 1, but I did.
The game is addicting. Click three bricks into each other and they disappear. The difficulty comes from trying to figure out which direction the brick needs to come from. There is a level of strategy that can be used; looking to the 2nd and 3rd level bricks to see how they would affect the fall out. I am sure I could eventually figure out how to get to Level 2, but that will come with another day. There were times, however, when bricks disappeared, and I had no idea what I did to make it happen.
I prefer silence when I play, so I turned off the music and sound effects. The music is annoying, but it almost becomes hypnotic after awhile.
This game would be frustrating for someone who likes to get to Levels fast. It would be a good game for those who like a challenge. It reminded me a little of chess, because I was trying to figure out moves by seeing how the bricks would fall into place 2 or 3 moves ahead.
Not a lot of action, but one can defintely "zone out" by playing it. Good game for someone wanting to relax by not thinking about anything but what bricks to click on.
The colors of the bricks are vivid; I like the black background.
I would recommend this game to anyone wanting a challenge; I played it without the timer because speed adds an anxiety level I prefer to avoid. It's there if you want it.
I measure quality of games by the strategy required. I get bored when there isn't a challenge. I would recommend it to those who want more than just seeing colors disappear. I will go back to it to try to figure out the key for moving ahead.
