BrickShooter Review
A Surprisingly Addictive and Original Puzzle game
You can buy it at RegNow for that price.
Pleasing (if minimalist) graphics, simple, intuitive controls, inventive gameplay with plenty of challenge.
Poor music, not a whole lot of depth or gameplay options, many may find later stages overly difficult
The concept behind Brickshooter is similar to that of many other puzzle games: match up blocks to get points. While it would be easy to create another Tetris or Columns rip-off, the developers chose to be a bit more creative with this formula.
In Brichshooter, you are surrounded by four walls composed of various colorful bricks. You then select blocks from a formation in the center to match up to those on the walls. For every block you destroy, you earn one point. Its a simple formula, but it would seem that yet again, simplicity is a recipe for addiction. The game has a great "Just one more level..." quality to it, and is definitely worth looking at if you are a fun of puzzle games.
If you're looking for a masterpiece, look elsewhere. But Brickshooter is a unique, challenging little puzzle game that is certainly worth a play.
