WinAvi Video Converter is not built for large video files, but it can prove to be helpful to convert your personal video clips to the suitable video format, at your choice.
Good thinking with the video converter and CD burner options in one package. Many other similar programs offer video converting only, and you have to be extra careful with choosing the appropriate CD burner when coming to make your video CD.
With WinAvi Video Converter you can also merge and convert several files into one when that is needed. Also, unlike other Video Converters, this one does not have "Preview Movie" option as default but leaves that at your convenience, to check it or not, depending on your computer resources. You should know that converting with preview option enabled makes it slower than with preview option disabled. It is also true that enabling the preview option allows you to see any possible errors, and try to make the appropriate corrections.
I do not recommend this kind of "home" or personal video converters for video files larger than 100MB because it may take days to complete the task if you plan to use it for "professional" purposes, like making a nice DVD for some featured 700MB movie, and try to market your brilliant post-production afterwards. I am sure they have built this software for personal use only, and if you think big business then you should get a professional movie converter; frankly, I cannot recommend any because I don't know any reliable one, and more, they must be damn expensive.
