Review:

Virtual DJ studio is a great attempt on helping young inexperienced people to break into the dj world at a low cost. I started to test this program with the trial version found at their homepage, and then I got so excited that I actually bought the full version of this program.

It is really easy to start learning about mixing music with it and gives us the idea of actually being mixing on a real turntable. It has a good coverage of popular audio codecs, such as mp3, wma, wav... But has a lack of other formats also used, like ogg, flat…

If you are like me, with not much knowledge of being a DJ, Virtual DJ studio offers an easy to use interface, but gets a little imprecise on scratching, turning the scratch slower or faster than you actually want. Even though it becomes easy for mixing music at home or at a party with friends, but doesn't replace the sounds you can get on a real turntable played by a real master DJ.

The interface is really simplified, and sometimes too simplified, what brings an easier way to understand the different controls, but makes difficult to control a lot of effects at the same time, or get new effects only achievable at a real turntable. But it still gets you on the DJ world at a nice simple approach by a low cost. If you are still not convinced of buying it, you can still test the trial version at the Virtual DJ homepage.

The Virtual DJ Studio is a nice option for people who wants to get into the DJ world but has no real knowledge, or for people who wants to pay as DJ with his friends. But for the DJ business it becomes too simplified and doesn’t give the expected results of excellence.

Conclusion:

It's a good program for home or beginers use, with lots of features to learn about the turntable art, but has a lack of features for real pro DJ's.
