Review:

Although for some people ‘President Forever’ may seem like a good game I didn’t think it was good at all, the main reason is that there was no real instructions on what you have to do to complete your goals and tasks. It may be a simple to understand game for Americans but there is a whole world out there filled with different countries that may need some instruction on American politics. This game did not provide any of this, not even a basic outline. Which doesn’t bode well for its sales to customers from outside America?

From what I could make out from the game itself, you are playing a campaign game in which Bush and Kerry travel round each state trying to gain votes and backing, you also need to decide both Bush and Kerry’s views on different issues like Education, Public Health, Ecology, Military and Terrorism. With this, you can decide whether you want to be left, right and centrist then by using, ads, campaigns, brainstorming and strategy to bring voters to you and your campaign. I think this was the general basics, I’m sure the game had a lot more to it but after 30 minutes of trying to figure out exactly what the goals were and how to accomplish these goals. I was fed up, and decided to play some previously tried games, even the ones I found just all right were a lot better than ‘President Forever.

Maybe if you could get a grasp on the goals and exactly what you are doing, then perhaps this game could have the potential to be a time consuming game. Though for me I found it boring and un-interesting because there was no real instructions for non-Americans.

Conclusion:

This is not a game for non-Americans unless your an expert at American Politics
