BrickShooter Review
Tetris meets Sudoku. Good but could be better!
You can buy it at RegNow for that price.
Simple enough concept that anyone can play it, though still remaining challenging enough that it would take a great deal of time to master.
The brain-melting, NES style music that can't be turned off and the lack of polish and rewards for achievements.
BrickShooter is a very enjoyable and addicting game for anyone who likes puzzle games. The concept is simple enough that anyone can understand it within a few seconds of play, but difficult enough that it definitely would take some time to master. Think of it as Tetris meets Sudoku.
The zelda-like music can get quite annoying after just a few minutes of play, and unfortunately I couldn't find a feature that let me disable it.
Also, BrickShooter's lack of polish can be a bit evident at times in terms of graphics and it's repetitious game play.
The Bottom Line:
This simple puzzle game can be very engrossing at times, though that can become hindered by horridly annoying music. I've heard better tunes on cell phones. If the developers were to add better music and sound effects it would create a much better environment for game play.
Another good idea would be to include extra rewards and bonuses when reaching certain goals or pulling off an extra-large brick detonation.
Not bad for such a small, simple game. However it's difficult to enjoy as the game play can get a bit too repetitious and the music has no variety.
