Review:

I tried GroupMail because I wanted to reach the visitors of my website easily. The previous software which I was using to mail out newsletters was only serving my needs because it was able to mail multiple people at once. The templates it provided to get started with were very standard and something you would find out of a '96 inbox. GroupMail templates are eye catching and make your customers want to read more. The greatest thing I found about it is that I was able to import my data list of my user's emails straight into the Group Mail client and it recognized them immediately. There was no need for me to type hundreds upon hundreds of emails again, or risk losing any from a bad import of the data.

I also noticed that several add-ons are being developed which allow the GroupMail client to do several things. One of these handles emails which bounce for different reasons. Depending on the reason of the bounced email, GroupMail notifies you which email address, why, and what you can do about it. It also offers a great way to verify user email addresses, so you're not stuck with a list of fake emails someone signed up under.

GroupMail also offers three pricing options ranging from the free personal edition, to the business edition with many added features. These are adequately priced for any growing business who wants to reach their customers with just a bit more flair.

Conclusion:

While GroupMail has a number of great features, I did find the interface a little intimidating at first. It's not set up like a normal email client and it takes some getting used to, but now that I've played around with it for a few days, I feel comfortable using it as my main tool for reaching customers outside of my website. The only other thing that I didn't like about GroupMail is that the ability to send messages in the future, while you are away, is available only in the business edition. This tool would be invaluable for webmasters who are on vacation to set up next week's newsletter to go out on a certain date, without even having to be home.
