If you like to make movies, or share your family movies, then you know how annoying it is to get those videos into a nice small transportable size, and get them into the correct format to burn them onto a DVD. This software is great for doing all those tasks. I have used PLENTY of other video converting software, and this is easily the best one I have used.
Whenever I export my videos, I use the default of my editing program, which is AVI. But MPEG and MPEG2 are the most common formats, so I need to convert my videos before uploading them, or burning them onto DVD, and WinAvi was great for doing just that.
If you need to convert a bunch of videos at once, it also has batch converting. You can use almost any format, and convert to almost any format. Very nice interface, and very easy to use.
