Cosmo Bots Review
A fun game, especially for the high score junkies.
You can buy it at RegNow for that price.
Fun, addictive gameplay. Many levels.
Gameplay can become quite repetitive.
I downloaded Cosmo Bots thinking I'd probably be bored within five minutes...I was actually pleasantly surprised.
The aim of the game is simple: Using your mouse, you navigate the game board, controlling some manner of robotic contraption, while various enemies make their way around the board also. A single click of the mouse and two lines shoot out from either side of your contraption; either horizontally or vertically. The idea is that you close off sections of the board with these lines while making sure the enemies don't come into contact with them. Closing off a section that an enemy is occupying will lead to that enemy being destroyed, and sometimes will grant you with a powerup you must manually collect.
It's a simple enough game mechanic that, for me atleast, very quickly became addictive. You gain extra points for various actions, including destroying enemies and closing off the entirety of the board.
The graphics match the gameplay: simple and effective. Typically futuristic silvers and greys make up the game board, and the enemies have enough variety to them to keep things interesting. One area of note is the animation which I found to be of quite a high standard.
All of this action is set to techno-futuristic ambient soundtrack that's
pleasant enough, but not particularly memorable.
Cosmo Bots is one of those games you can just pick up and play, and it's easy for a 5 minute session to turn into a 30 minute one.
