Demerits A startup manager is not included No way to schedule registry scans Extra tools aren't much use to ordinary users
Registry First Aid scans a computer's registry for several problems and corrects them. You can backup and restore your registry prior to any changes whenever wish. At the beginning of using Registry First Aid, you are confronted with a simple, user friendly screen that lets you access the main functions such as scan the registry and defrag. It fixes dll problems, file associations, file extensions, help files, invalid paths, invalid shortcuts, empty registry keys & many more.
It is very easy to use with a couple of simple buttons to run its all functions. There is also 'Advanced Settings' which anyone can use if he wants. It removes registry entries safely. It asks you to create a backup file before removing anything and allow you to revert back to the last registry state in case any problem occurs.
On tests it finds huge number of errors which other registry tools may not find. I tested it on different computers of my friends and on each it found almost double the number of problems some other tools did. It improves system performance by scanning your registry, locating orphan file/folder, references and then correcting your registry entries to match the located files or folders. It has a great tool which is known 'Defragment Registry' tool. This optimizes the registry for greater speed and performance. It finds and removes the useless entries left in registry when uninstalling programs. It views invalid entries by category or safety level to limit the risk of error.
It does not have a startup manager which is a really important part of any good registry tool. This product would have been much better if it had one built in. It has no facility to schedule scans automatically. While it is not a huge negative point, and running manual scans isn't very difficult to do, it would have been handy.
This is a great software as it really finds and repairs a massive number of registry problems. On tests it shows higher performance than the other registry tools available in the market. I would definitely recommend this tool to everybody.
