Cosmo Bots Review
New and Improved
You can buy it at RegNow for that price.
Simple, nice graphics, good soundtrack, enjoyable at first, easy game play and controls
Repetitive, lengthy, pricey, not much of a challenge, could use more content
Cosmo Bots created by Retro64 combines two classic strategy games Qix and Jezzball, adding flavor and new elements to it. The goal remains the same, you take control of a little red robot that's objective is to fill in a percent of the level without losing your lives. The little red robot has the ability to screws out both ends that extend either horizontally or vertically till they meet the walls of the level. When the screws meet the wall that portion of the level will be filled in. The way you lose lives is by having one of these extending screws blocked by space bugs before it reaches the wall. Space bugs are the only enemies, there are several types of space bugs through out the game all with different movement patterns. Power-ups and power-downs can be found when destroying space bugs. Power-ups make it easier to get points or fill in the level while Power-downs do the opposite. The graphics are nothing special but they wont make you complain. The sound is good with catchy tracks that may eventually get on your nerves. 577 different levels will make completing the game take to long.
A revamped version of two classics that were never really that fun, Cosmo Bots is not worth the cost when you could find a flash game that is just as good.
