Zzed Review

Lets be honest. A puzzle shooter? Really now? Mixing puzzles and shooters is like eating hot sauce with ice cream. They don't seem like they'd mix at all.

How horribly, horribly wrong I was. Zzed is an amazingly fun game that combines the best of both worlds.

The graphics were simply done and fresh. The cutscenes were well designed and it was easy to get involved with the story which was surpisingly in depth. It kept me intrigued and looking forward to the next meeting with the boss. In game, the graphics and animation were both very well done. The 'garbage' is color coded and easily distinguishable. It's addictive as hell, I'm not gonna lie.

The gameplay is addictive. Very addictive. Time flew by as I was testing the game out, and after multiple levels it never got old. Every level brings something slightly different than the last one. It's frantic when you're surrounded on all sides by garbage closing in, then you get a lucky break and a well timed bomb frees you. It's intense.
