Beetle Ju Review
Another oh hum game.
You can buy it at RegNow for that price.
Great idea with adding additional packs, espcially one made for children.
Game players will probably get bored within 15 minutes. Graphics are pretty low tech.
Are you familiar with the games Boulder Dash and Digger? If so, you may be interested in Beetle Ju, an earth-digging arcade type game. Beetle Ju’s story line is pretty lame, with a bunch of monsters invading Beetle Ju's world, and you need to destroy them.
Game Features (3 stars out of 5)
The game has pretty low level graphics, but tries to overcome this with lots of weapons and “additional level packs”. Being a father one of the nice features is the free children’s pack, which includes 30 additional levels with no scary monsters, and contains very little violence. For the parents, there is the additional Hard Pack which adds 30 more levels. You if kill all the monsters in the first part of the game, you will open the hard pack level.
Playability (4 stars out of 5)
Overall, the game was a bit hard to play during the beginning and continued to be challenging through the game. The really nice feature was the “add on levels”. One being built for children, and another one for advance players.
Summary
Overall, this is just another Boulder Dash game. Even with the “add on” levels I could not recommend paying $20 for this title. Especially, when you can play similar titles free on “free flash online games”.
Not worth the $20.
