Review:

I have played my fair share of puzzle games and in my opinion just grab yourself a Game Boy and a Tetris pack and that's pretty much the entire genre. Brick shooter does a number to further prove my point. The player tries to match block colors on the color coded screen. On each wall of the board there are several different color bricks.(red green gray brown yellow etc.) When a block is clicked it moves towards the center and either will land on the blocks in the middle or disappear when it connects with two or more other blocks of the same color. One point is awarded for each block that disappears and if the player somehow manages to clear the board (the author came nowhere close)the player is awarded 250 points. After about a half hour of pulling my hair out trying to find the right color block to send I gave up with a with a laughable score. When I stopped unlike most other games I had no intention of starting up a another round or restarting. That was that, I was done. The game, just simply put is not fun. With a few clicks I was back to happily playing a game of minesweeper. Overall Brickshooter might help you burn a little company time but if your looking for a more filling less frustrating experience stick to Tetris.

Conclusion:

In conclusion it was a good idea but not really a great way to blow an afternoon. Just didn't get the author feeling like he had to keep going. Almost felt like a chore to get those blocks to go where desired.
