Review:

Cosmo Bots is one of those games that you can play for hours without realizing it just because you want to beat your high score. The game is very simple, but is very hard to become great at. The only thing you need to play is your computer and your mouse. The objective is to shield off a specific amount of the level area with your lines that are sent out by your cursor.

Their isn't much to complain about with this game except maybe that its very repetitive, but it does get much harder with each level. The first level is cake. Just 3 or 4 clicks and you're there, but as you get to level 15 or 16 you'll find yourself needing to think about where you click. If you don't want a challenge then pick another game.

The presentation of the game is similar to any arcade-like computer game. You get the main menu with buttons for starting your game, changing sound or video, changing gameplay, and quiting. There aren't many options for the player, but like I said it's a very simple game. The game is played on a single, stationary screen where there is a grid for your cursor to shield off with its lines. There are bots moving through the grid where you have to try to send out your lines without hitting them. Once you lose all you lives the game over screen comes up and you may enter you name for the high score list.

The gameplay, just like the rest of the game, is simple at the beginning. You click to send out your lines, right click to change direction, and once your lines hit the section shielded off with less area is filled and put into your score. As you get deeper into the game there are more bots that move faster or move in different ways. There are also power ups released when you kill bugs that move along the outside of the track.

That's about it for Cosmo Bots. I definitely think you should try the 60 minute trial, and if you really like it you should definitely buy it if you're willing to spend $18. I think this is a little expensive for such a simple game.
