Typing Master Express Review
Typing made easy......I mean not so easy.
You can buy it at RegNow for that price.
Has a couple of "new" ideas not seen in other typing programs.
No built in help Can become slow to respond to typing
Typing Master offers something called the “Express Trainer” tool that analyzes your typing while you do certain Windows applications and then creates a customized lesson based on your weaknesses. You can also customize drills, and tests to work on a specific typing weakness easily. Typing Master Express works in nine different languages. There are also basic games for typing fun available with the “Expressgram”. Typing Master Express contains an easy-to-read reports page, which can be printed in the form of a certificate of achievement…I guess this is good if your using it in school.
A few problems with the “Expressgram”, basically when you’re taking a test, the word you are supposed to be typing is underlined for you. But when you move to the next word, it takes an extra moment for the underline to move. This becomes more irritating the faster you type.
Typing Master Express is fairly easy to figure out, but there are no screen information or instruction. There also isn’t any help built help or a help section available online. It was pretty frustrating to I the “Expressgram”, I know that you can practice 10-key with it, but I simply could not find it or anything that could tell I where to look.
Typing Master Express offers no built in help plus there is no FAQ available online. However, an online form on their website allows you to email questions directly to customer support.
Summary:
Typing Master Express is a basic, no-frills program that offers a great deal of lesson and test customization. But lacks the support and instructions that is needed for someone just starting out or to anyone who really wants to use the program to its fullest capacity.
Typing Master Express is a basic, no-frills program that offers a great deal of lesson and test customization.
