Lenogo DVD Movie to iPod Video Converter Review

This application is well made, but isn’t worth its price. First, the good side. This application is FAST. When I think of putting my favorite movie on my IPod, hours of waiting come to mind. This is the opposite. I converted a three hour version of Les Miserables in not even an hours. On most converters, I would leave my computer running for days to get a decent conversion/rip. Second, the user interface is well done. There are very few buttons to press, and the help section explains every single one in great detail. I was up and running a conversion in under a minute (and half of that was putting the disk in). Unfortunately, no software is perfect. One major qualm I held with this application is its conversion QUALITY. Sure, its fast, but I shrink and distorts the movie many times a minute. I was barely able to focus on a character due to screen shifts. Most converters on the market offer a good quality, smooth picture. This isn’t one of them. Also, I believe that the price is way too high for what this software does. Instead of wasting money on this, buy a few movies through Itunes. There you can at least watch the movie without getting a headache. There are reasons to wait for a true conversion, but when you need a movie fast, use this software.
