Cross between Just HTML Text and GUI
You can buy it at RegNow for that price.
Easy To Use, FTP Built In, and can do many languages.
Price is high, bad inital coding techniqes,so-so support for css.
Overall, EditPlus is an interesting way to design website. EditPlus has features that I like, but it has some aspects of it that I dislike, and I do not think EditPlus is worth the $27 price. You are much better off getting an open-source freeware coding app, such as NotePad++. But for some people, EditPlus just might be their next new HTML editor.
First of all, if you are an advanced HTML editor/website designer, this is not the code editor for you. From the looks of it, it is meant to be a step in between a GUI based editor, and an editor with just text (and syntax highlighting). There is no GUI for previewing and editing pages, just text. But Luckily, if you are new to coding, there are many toolbars and buttons that will assist you with common HTML editing tools. In this way, beginners will love the app.
However, there are some things that undermine the application's usability. First of all, right off the bat, when you load the HTML template, you will notice that the DOCTYPE is HTML 4.0 Transitional, and all the xml tags are capitalised. Not the best way to start a document. Others have said the various toolbar buttons are confusing. In the beginning, you might be confused which ones are which, but after a while you'll get the hang of them.
Overall, if you are average at HTML and are just beginning to escape using GUIs, want something that can help you, even though it has a few flaws? In that case, if you have the money, you will be satisfied with the product. For anyone else, put your money elsewhere, or look at another freeware app.
