-Cheap -Pretty to look at
-Bad Interface -Hard to use -Hard to important audio files
I had problems with this n-Track studio from the moment I tried to install it. n-Track requires the Microsoft ".NET" software and the ".NET" installer within the program installer would not work and I had to hunting through Microsoft's website and to find the correct version of .NET. Once I finally got n-Track installed I was pleasantly surprised to look at the interface. The interface is very graphical and is pleasing to the eye, and this is where the nicety of the interface stops. The interface is not very intuitive and would be extremely difficult to understand for someone who is not use to working with editing software. I have my own podcast and I am very use to editing within another name brand software package. Other major problems with this program is that it will not easily important .mp3 for editing. I was going to try and important the two voice tracks from my most recent podcast into n-Track and I could not do it. Recording from microphones also proved to be difficult due to the bad interface. Overall n-Track is not a good piece of software.
If you are strapped for cash go ahead and get n-Track Studio, but if not go ahead and spend the money and buy adobe audition.
