Without care, optimization programs such as BoostSpeed can wreck havoc on Windows. Be sure to back up your critical files!
I very much appreciate the fact that BoostSpeed creates a system restore point and backs up the registry before starting up for the first time.
At $22, this is a good deal for the amount of useful utilities included.
The interface is clean and easy to navigate. The utilities are broken down into 6 categories, making it easy to find the tool you need.
There are easy to use wizards available to guide you through the optimization programs.
As with any Windows optimization program, you need to be careful what changes you make and what files you delete (the registry is a very finicky component of Windows). At least BoostSpeed helps you out in this regard by making a system restore point and backing up the registry. I would still highly recommend doing both of these tasks each time you use BoostSpeed (or any similar program).
BoostSpeed is an excellent value for the money and has found a permanent home on my computer. Two thumbs up!
