Easy to use; small occupancy of system facilities; reliability
Antispam filter works only with POP mail accounts;
BitDefender company is most popular with their Antivirus software. It proves lots of awards that BitDefender has collected. For users, most significant feature is that this Antivirus uses small amount of system facilities, so in most cases you won't even notice that Antivirus is running. BitDefender 9 Professional Plus has one new option, and it is renewing virus lists every hour. Except this, BitDefender also uses virtual environment in which with help of heuristics and behavior control checks suspicious software, and protects users from malicious codes (viruses, trojans or worms) which still are not in BitDefender's virus lists. Files which you download with p2p tools, or receive over Instant Messaging clients will be also scanned.
BitDefender's firewall is very good as usual. It has protection against dialers, which dial-up users will appreciate for sure. Control of active components (ActiveX, Java Scripts) and cookies is default option. Also firewall gives you a possibility to set different rules for the same application, which means that you can allow to one application to download content from Internet, and also forbid to upload content.
If you use POP mail account, than you could say that Antispam module is perfect. It uses tested Bayesian filter able to learn from users about spam messages, and it gets better and better in time. Antispam module is also aware of Phishing E-mails and all tries of fraud it will prevent. You are able to make black and white list too. With character set and picture filters BitDefender Antispam system even gets better. If you use Microsoft mail clients and POP mail servers, with BitDefender 9 Professional Plus, your inbox will be tidy in short time.
But unfortunately why it isn't absolutely perfect? The answer is IMAP server. If you use IMAP server for your mail, than Antispam module won't be of any help.

BitDefender 9 Professional Plus is a three in one software (Antivirus, Firewall, Antispam) which is very good, and in my opinion only possibility to beat it is to use individual softwares for every function that this package offers. But, that also means more knowledge and taking care about security of your computer.
