Dungeon Scroll Review
Great as a wordgame, lacking as an RPG
You can buy it at RegNow for that price.
It stimulates the mind and entertains well with additions not found in the normal word game. Good educational tool for kids and scrabble fans alike.
Monster's graphics are minimal. RPG aspects limited. Arcade like with the high score system and only 26 dungeons.
Being a fan of word games such as scrabble or even word searches and crosswords, I found Dungeon Scroll to be very entertaining.
The average person may not however, because many rpg aspects are lacking. In the end, all it is is a word game, enhanced with an rpg theme; which is exactly what it advertises.
Some fun additions include an oracle tile that tells you the best (longest) possible word you can make, the jumble function which rearranges letters to help you recognize new possibilities with your tiles, bonus tiles (such as the oracle tile) that heal, do extra damage, etc.
The game runs smoothly, is a challenge but not overly difficult, and is quite entertaining for someone looking for more fun in their word games.
There are merely 26 dungeons, but the game may be replayed for a higher score. Also, although the game does save when logged off, only one game may be active at a time, no new profiles.
If you're looking for an RPG, then you will be disappointed as this game has an "RPG-like theme" as it advertises. If you want a fun word game, this game isn't fantastic, but it's definitely for you.
