Pretty Good MahJongg Review
Well The Title Says it All
You can buy it at RegNow for that price.
The pricing is not half bad and you get a lot out of it. There are several games to play and if you are just looking to mess around for a bit with a quick and easy game this will fit the bill.
The game has too much going on at once. The publisher and developer apparently had no idea how to create a cohesive interface with even mediocre aesthetics.
"Pretty Good" is right there in the title so you shouldn't be expecting a wonderful game from the get go. If the publisher was going for a top-notch game they would have gone with "Great" or "The Best Damn Mahjong Ever". They didn't and that tells you that this game is aiming for one thing and one thing only; to pass time and be adequate and it is more than adequate.
There is some good in the game, I have to be honest. For the pricing you get a pretty intense package of classic games that you can go back to over and over again. This one is playable for an extended period of time for really casual gamers, but the good doesn't outweigh the bad.
The interface of the game is annoying and too complex for such a simple collection of games and the aesthetics of the game are lackluster at best. The sounds will send you insane after more than 20 minutes and the color scheme will likely make you want to rip your eyes out of your head, but if that's the kind of masochistic stuff your into download it and have at it.
I personally would not recommend this to a friend. I would recommend it to an enemy, but that's an entirely different story. The price point isn't bad and the amount you get is impressive but there are just too many negatives to really consider this game even mediocre.
