DietMP3 Review
DietMP3: Because Music Needs to Lose Weight Too
You can buy it at RegNow for that price.
It save a lot of memory and it does not sacrifice quality most of the time. There's no need to spend money on another MP3 Player due to full memory-
It is not the best user-interface in terms of looks. Supports limited audio file.
When you hear the word "diet", you would automatically imagine humans trying to lose weight. But what about our music? I remember when iPods and other media players didn't have Gigabytes and about a hundred tracks were all you needed. However, those days are long gone. Now, we have gigs of gigs to not only store music, but videos, pictures, etc. As we keep filling them up, we might find ourselves willing to buy another media player as the current ones has been filled. Spending money needlessly is not quite a good idea especially considering how bad the economy is. This is where DietMP3 comes to the rescue.
In a nutshell, DietMP3 is a software that shortens the memory of an audio file(though you might find undesirable changes to audio formats that aren't MP3). Upon using this, I managed to save about 35 MB from a list of 10 songs. It does the job well, as other size reducing software I've encountered would usually distort and ruin the quality of my tunes. It is impressive for what it does.
DietMP3 doesn't come without flaws. Upon using it, the User-Interface isn't so easy on the eyes in terms of looks. But it doesn't need to. Another problem I came across was how you could only compress .mp3, .cda, and .wav files. Not so useful if you have audio files that are not listed. Although DietMP3 is not perfect, it isn't the worst software. It does, however, have plenty of room for improvements.
For what its worth, the price might drive away potential users. However, DietMP3 is a very useful software and I have found it easy to use.
