Wow, the compression is amazing. I've compressed 'Homecoming' by Green Day from 16.8mb to 6.4mb. That's 61.9% reduction in file size with NO reduction in sound quality. It sounds exactly the same as the original.

I have to admit, I was pretty skeptical about the quoted 30% to 70% compression but it's true. This is without a doubt THE best program I've come across that compresses MP3s. DietMP3 will be staying on my HD for a while.

This will really save you money. Sure, it costs the same as any other Non-Freeware program upfront but you will save on buying extra storage for your portable MP3s, PDAs or whatever you carry your music on.

Conclusion:

DietMP3 is a great tool to have around and it will definitely save you a lot of money in the long. Amazing Filesize reduction. Highly recommended for portable MP3 owners!
