Review:

If you suffer from a touch of Attention Deficit Disorder (like me), Vacation Mogul may be the game for you. It is a game that has the player engaged in building, upgrading, buying, selling, and repairing real estate, primarily in resort facilities. Any player can navigate through each stage of the game easily because of the host who walks you through each phase. His instructions appear before and after each level in order to receive directions that are useful for understanding the purpose of each action within the stages.

If you're to skip through the directions, you could do so without worrying about failing. If you just click on the arrows and highlighted areas, you can drag and drop your way to monetary gain and success. Your goal is to build and earn whatever is necessary for the level you're on as you maneuver through the beach front properties. You are rewarded for how fast you click, and it is pretty obvious where you need to click and drag the bungalows, beach chairs, ice cream shops, etc. that are necessary to draw and entertain visitors.

This is a perfect game for the person who enjoys busying themselves with something while watching syndicated television shows because it doesn't require much thought to move forward. The story line of the game is interesting at times, and the graphics are just intriguing enough for the average player who isn't a serious game because there are no details like The Sims.

I don't expect much from games like this, so I wasn't disappointed until I saw the frequent re-occurrence of a character in the game who was drowning. The gamer's job is to rescue the victim by clicking on him before he drowns, so it is a simple process to save his life. I intentionally let him drown to see what would happen, and there was no type of penalty or loss of points. This is a serious distortion of values that may not mean much to the gamers who are accustomed to a loss of life in video games, but I thought that this was sick. Other than that, the game was fair at best.

Conclusion:

If you're looking to be entertained solely by a game online, this is not the one for you; however, if you need something to pass the time during boring tv shows, play on.
