New Software To Be Reviewed Review
Evoly by Alawar Entertainment
You can buy it at RegNow for that price.
There are no pros that I've seen with this game, unless you wish to use it as a sleep aid.
Unneeded flashing graphics, grainy textures, & repetitive music and gameplay.
Evoly tries to put together what appears to be a cheap version of Spore, and puts it with Bejeweled. Unfortunately, it fails. Easily forgettable music, grainy textures, and unneeded animations made the game rather annoying and tiring to play, if only distracting for a few seconds.
The game seems to have one song for its BGM, and it doesn't seem to fit anywhere in the game, seeming more fitting for a kid's halloween movie, seeming even more unfitting.
The "life sim" feature seemed to be something to attract people to the game, forcing you to play the horrid puzzle to get any money at all. And the most you'd get are a few parts to paste together onto a fuzzball.
In terms of a tutorial, it gave you a blurry, barely readable set of instructions that only gave you a basic hint of what to do on the first level of the puzzle, and no tutorial whatsoever for the "life sim." Also with the "life sim," the price of the money doesn't match up with the points you get, so you're never sure if you have more than enough, or too little.
In conclusion, you're better off just playing another game, as this one just seemed more like it was spat out for the money, rather than actually being focused upon to make a good game.
