The innovations such as “Browse View”, “TWAIN Compatibility”, “Tolerance” “Workspace Texture”, “Protection Masks”, etc put the photo editing software on the edge.
Personally, I dislike the style of the textbox; it took me sometime to handle that aspect properly, unlike other editing software.
Having tested this software, I realize that photo editing is undergoing serious evolutionary stages from the stables of its diverse makers. In fact, if everyone can edit his or her scanned pictures him or herself, and put it up on display, then our photographers won’t make a hail of money any longer from our wallets. Of course they thrive to be creative when it comes to this aspect.
Paint Buster is fun to use, and easy too (if you appreciate the usage). I would like to analyze the features I have used so far, and found interesting;
THE SMART KEYS
These smart keys are what I call “Paint Buster self made keys”, because they seem to be unconventional against the usual short cut keys we know. These smart keys are;
THE SHIFT KEY
Using this key when drawing a line can form either a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line.
When drawing a rectangle can form squares or circles.
When starting a movie clip, the clip is pasted before the movie starts when you hold down the shift key.
You can as well retain the original measurements when scaling clips or layers.
The CTRL key
When applying a pain tool, you can pick the left paint color with the left mouse button, and the right paint with the right mouse button.
The + and – Keys
You can zoom in one level with + key and as well zoom out one level with the – key, all depends on the position of your cursor.
COMPATIBILITY WITH TWAIN DEVICES
Naturally, TWAIN-compliant devices seem not to be applicable with other photo editing Software (the ones I have seen so far). But I found this applicable in PaintBuster! Therefore you can easily have access to these devices on your Paint Buster by going through File, and then clicking on TWAIN Select Source.
VARIOUS PROTECTION MASKS
This is the only software I realize there are more than one protection masks, I know of one protection mask in Corel photo paint and Adobe Photo paint.
In Paint Buster there are 8 protection masks available for your painting activities; Bound Fill Till Mask; Freehand Mask; Rectangular Mask; Rubber Band Mask, Mask Colour Fill, Inverted Mask and Clear Mask.
BROWSE VIEW:
Do you desire to have an album-like display of your pictures? This tool is for you. You can browse-view your pictures from the PC, Flash disk, Camera, etc.
TRANSPARENCY SLIDER:
Set your transparency level with this tool.
TOLERANCE SLIDER:
This is quiet amazing when using a color fill or mask fill. Simply set the percentage level of the exact color that matches the object’s.
TEXT BOX TOOL
It’s quite different here. Your Text Box can be in these forms; Plain, Outlined, Three-Dimensional or Block-Shaded.
I would love to say, because there are some vital features you desired to use (which I personally found quite interesting), that would appeal your imagination and taste.
