Virtual DJ Studio Review
Virtual dj -> best free dj solution
You can buy it at RegNow for that price.
Great user interface and compatibility rate. It feels like your a plug and play dj because you can mix right off the bat.
No crossfade compatibility for scroller.
Well the version that is talked about in the original review is a little outdated.
Right now this particular software is hot on the market, it has worldwide more than 3 million users.
The best of it all is that it's a free software, you can go pro if you want more complex features and more mix panels to be compatible.
The software has now been split in 3 categories for specific target markets:
-Basic:
This is an alternative to VirtualDJ Pro, for customers on a budget.
Designed for smaller venues, VirtualDJ Basic caters to DJ's who mix with a mouse and keyboard; it includes nearly all the features of VirtualDJ Pro, with only a few limitations.
-Home:
Designed for bedroom DJs or DJs who want to discover the art of DJing at a low cost. VirtualDJ HomeEdition includes all the features of the professional VirtualDJ software except for direct 2nd Video Output
-LE:
Many DJ controllers on the market come with a special edition of VirtualDJ, brought to you for free, so that you can start playing with your new console right away.
However, if you plan to use this product professionally, you should consider upgrading to the full professional version.
-Pro:
With VirtualDJ's breakthrough BeatLock engine, songs will always stay in beat, and the DJ works their mixes incredibly faster than they ever could.
The automatic seamless loop engine and synchronized sampler lets the DJ perform astounding remixes live, with no preparation at all. The visual representation and the cues allow a DJ to clearly see the song structure, and never be surprised by a break. The vinyl controls will let you scratch like on a real turntable, except that with the beatlock engine your scratches will never end out of the beat.
etc...
Now I use the basic edition, but I have friends with more complex needs.
They use mixpanels, external sound cards, ...
I must say that Vdj has a very nice compatibility rate.
Now for you people who want to start dj'ing, get the feel of being a dj by downloading the basic trial and playing around a little.
Once you get the hang of it you can buy a mix panel for as low as $100, and if you want a onboard soundcard it's about $200
Here are some of them:
-hercules mp3 e2 -> $100 +-
-hercules mk4 -> $200 +-
Well I hope these review will all make you pro dj's somewhere in the near future.

It's a top of the notch software and I think everyone should use it! But don't get too cocky it takes time to make good mixes...
