Small, very easy to use, user-friendly interface.
I really can't find any
I care much about first impression. This program passed the test. Compressed .exe instalation is only 2.16mb big, and after installing it, program will use about 3.50mb on your disk.
Software will guide you through everything, you don't have to know anything about graphic, creating animated gifs or converting between different formats. It has probably the most user-friendly interfaces I've ever seen, you can easily take pictures you want to use, wizard will ask you everything you might need; should it loop animation, how long should it display each frame, number of colors you want to use, is background transparent etc.
It also has some advanced features, like importing AVI file into it, compiling it to SWF flash instead of GIF, optimization and it will even create a HTML code for you so can just copy/paste it into source of your web site. To be honest, I don't know which decent web designer will use this feature, but it's nice that autors thought of it.
If you're looking for something simple, small and fast, without hundreds of unnecessary options, CoffeCup will do the job just fine.
