Dark Basic Professional Review
Awsome for less serious applications.
You can buy it at RegNow for that price.
Great IDE interface, easy to learn language with few bugs, great community.
Many limitations compared to open source alternatives. A bit pricey considering there are free equivalents.
This is really a great language for beginner programmers, or advanced programmers who don't need to overkill with c/c++ etc.
The reason I say it isn't great for "serious" applications, is that it has many limitations in comparison to other open source free languages. If you are a beginner programmer who is looking to make a profession out of it, I wouldn't recommend starting with this as it is not an industry standard. You should really try to learn a different language like c/c++ before or alongside this if you are a beginner.
However, if you aren't going to get "serious" this is a great and easy way to get your ideas onto the screen. Its extremely easy to get started with, and there is a massive amount of help docs, sample code, and community members to get you going.
I would say go for it if you have an idea that your are itching to get onto screen and working.
