Twisted tracks, cool design

I am a big Luxor lover. Yes, you heard me – I love Luxor. Most sequels to small casual games suck. But that’s not the case with Luxor: Amun Rising. In fact, it’s much better than the original.
OK, so what’s changed? Not much. Now you can pick the difficulty level – Beginner, Intermediate or Expert. The changes don’t really take effect until later in the game. The first levels are still very easy. It’s a wicked plan to suck you in and make you pull out that credit card.
Music is still largely the same, but there are some new overtones that nevertheless follow the overall theme of the original. The bonuses are pretty much the same, although some new ones have been added, like the Scorpio. I’m not sure if these make any difference.
Track design is by far the biggest change and I’ve got to admit – new tracks rock. Very innovative, interesting shapes and some weird angles.
This review is going to be short, because I don’t really want to take any of your time. Use this time to play Luxor: Amun Rising. You’ve got one free hour.
It's one of the best casual games released this year.
