n-Track Studio Review
Not Cool Edit Pro or Adobe Audition but also much less expensive
You can buy it at RegNow for that price.
inexpensive and nice to look at
only for PC, not effective enough to be worth any money at all
I used Cool Edit Pro for a long time, then Adobe Audition. Now I use Garageband. Which of course means i went from PC to Mac (highly recomend to everyone). But my bass player tried this n-Track Studio, and it is just barely worth the money.
It is a lot cheaper than the other's (except garageband which is free with your mac), and therefore half the quality of the others. But for the cheep, not professional recording studio programs, this is up there.
It looks pretty, the interface is nice and easy to use.
Also you need .Net with it, and that can be hard to find and download. And with Garageband, i click on a mp3 in itunes and drag it into the program to use for recording. With n-Track Studio, it is not so easy. And using a mic input is never easy, but the quality is especially poor here.
This software should be free, and not used for any recording in which you care about the quality at all.
