Xeno Assault 2 Review
Xeno assault II - not worth your money.
You can buy it at RegNow for that price.
Nostalgia, Ranking system.
Graphics are too edgy, the skins are repetitive, the music is constantly repeating itself.
Xeno Assault II is one of those games that a company will use to awaken your nostalgia and make you relive the old days. But if I want to relive the old days I'd get myself the classic 'Asteroids' or even for shits 'n giggles the always hilarious game 'Chicken Invaders'.
The graphics were close to Flash Game quality and extremely edgy.
They practically used the same skin on every enemy and the scenery doesn't change one bit either. I can get my brother of 16 to make me a game like this.
The price is just hilarious if you see the variety of games you can buy these days. It's practically 1/3 of any platform game which is a million times better in every single way.
The ranking system seems like a good idea but I doubt it will keep anyone interested long enough. Todays games have a multi-player option which might have actually give this game a little boost.
The gameplay is also worth close to nothing with the up-grades all being the same and lasting for not more then 5 seconds. Plus the concept of using 3D in a 2D environment didn't work out the way they wanted it either.
All in all, it will bring you back to when this genre was a massive hit, but the game itself isn't remotely close to anything special, and can't live up to it's predecessors.
