SWFText Review
SWFText, Well worth the price tag
You can buy it at RegNow for that price.
Produces professional looking animation, Ability to create buttons with it, Clear and easy to use interface, Plenty of effects
Should all be in one window instead of separate windows for settings and preview
SWFText from AntsSoft is well worth the price tag. The program is simple to use and an updating preview every time you change something, makes it even better to work with.
The installation went without a hitch, although the program was downloaded in .ZIP format, so you will need a .ZIP extractor if you don’t have Windows 2000 or higher. Once the setup started though, it took 5 clicks to install.
My first impressions of the program was that it was rather a boring interface with two windows, one preview window and one settings window. I am one of these people who likes all parts of an application to be in one window though, so this was a downside for me.
The preview updated automatically every time a setting was changed. You can change almost everything in the presentation from the dimensions to the frame rate as well as the font, text, text effect, background colour (or image) and background effect. The program is packed with effects, hundreds of them from lightning to the sea, clouds to matrix.
You can also set the animation to load a web page if the user clicks it or when the animation finishes so that it can act as a button. You can even add a sound to the animation, either .MP3 or .WAV.
The help file will assist you on any aspect of the program, although I found that the application was very easy to start using, you simply click an icon on the left list and the main area changes to show you the appropriate options. It produces professional looking flash movies that you can add to your webpage’s to make them look much more appealing.
Overall, SWFText enables anyone to produce good looking and professional banners and buttons with its easy to use interface and has a massive library of effects available.
