By mchlgryn on Sat, 2007-02-24 10:52
Pros: Runs in a background without interupting user activity.
Cons: Does not support the latest operating systems specifically some versions of Windows Vista. Consumes hefty load of CPU resources.
The noticeably decreased performance of computer, applications taking too much time to load is an indication that your computer needs to be defragmented. O&O Defrag can do the job done for you...

Justifiable?

By acwebs on Thu, 2006-11-09 21:11
Pros: Includes excellent features not found in Windows Disk Defragger; Simple to use; Good help files.
Cons: Does not offer enough new/distinct features to justify its price tag.
Let me begin with a quick lesson on how files are written to a hard drive. When you save a file, the operating system (Windows) writes the file to the hard drive. Optimally it would save the file in...

In a Word: Unnecessary.

By Volsfan91 on Tue, 2006-10-17 21:03
Pros: Does what's asked, slick interface
Cons: Unnecessary, not worth $40.
I already have a defrag app on my computer, and it was included with Windows. Heck, it's included with every copy of Windows XP sold, and has been in the Windows/DOS family since 1993!...

By BlackBonz on Mon, 2006-10-16 23:52
Pros: Defragments, Chkdisk, and gives great system info. All in one
Cons: Too costly. Also, average user wouldn't be able to utilize all features.
1st thing I noticed was the visual aspect. I enjoyed the color schemes and it gave be a good idea of how bad my drives were fragmented and it actually made me feel as if it was actually doing...

Little high, little low, do you need O&O?

By Garfunkel on Mon, 2006-10-16 10:58
Pros: Advanced features are a very nice addition over many others, like the default Windows defragmenting program.
Cons: It is very expensive. I do not imagine many users really need a product such as this.
O&O Defrag professional is a product with highs and lows. Firstly you may not realize this but the standard defrag tool that comes with Windows XP is not complete in any sense of the word. It does...

O&O Defrag Professional is Very Professional

By esurigao on Mon, 2006-10-16 03:03
Pros: Best GUI I've seen in its class. Watching its defragmentation processes is like playing a good game of tetris.
Cons: A bit of a memory hog. You don't want this utility running all the time. Pity, it also has no uninstall option.
If you're like me, I always like to watch my computer as it defragments my drives. It's a very cathartic experience to see how bits and pieces of my files gets stacked up in a neat and efficient row....

O&O DEFRAG PROFESSIONAL vs WINDOWS DEFRAGMENT

By manubhaskar on Tue, 2006-10-10 18:45
Pros: The effort taken to develop a software just like windows defragmenter is good. It is the true reproduction of a module in windows utility application.
Cons: It is not necessary to buy this product as there is nothing special and helpful in any aspect. It execute the same fuction of windows defragmenter.
Yes, It is a software meant for "de-fragment" the hard disk volume to make the PC faster in its performance. It is very true that it is just like "Old wine in New Bottle" and one must think about its...

O&O Defrag V8 professional Edition

By softpro on Tue, 2006-08-22 16:37
Pros: More options than the Windows Defragmenter. Has a Stealth option, which can defrag large files efficiently. Executes a Job, which automates the defragmentation at scheduled times.
Cons: The Price.
First look at this would suggest that we may have some old wine in a new bottle but gradually we are presented with a few more options. The flickering reminds you of Las Vegas lights, but its not...
